NYC So Far
I got into New York City late last night. Flying into LaGuardia, on the left side of the airplane, with a window seat was definitely the way to go. The lights at night are beautiful. At one point, I had a complete panoramic view of the city. A photo wouldn't be able to do it justice. This morning Shay and I woke up early to attend his conference. Even though the content of his talk was a bit lost on me, I couldn't have been more proud of him.
I snuck out afterwards to visit a few local coffee shops. I realized very quickly that there are a lot of coffee shops in NYC. It was very difficult to decide where to start, but with help from Project Latte I was able to narrow it down to 3 in my area: Third Rail Coffee, Joe the Art of Coffee, and Birch Coffee.
{ The treat featured in the middle photo is a cashew donut from Doughnut Plant. It was delicious! }
I enjoyed exploring a little corner of NYC by myself. Along the way a stranger stopped to ask me for directions, and it flattered me that I might actually look like I belong here!
Well, it's safe to say I'm cut off from caffeine for the day. Time to switch drink modes and meet up with the hubby for a celebratory cocktail.
Happy Friday!
