She's Due Any Day Now!

Last weekend I went to my brother & sister-in-law's house to do a baby bump photo session. If you've been following along with my blog then you know that last spring I bought a new camera and took a photography class. I'm slowly getting more comfortable shooting in manual, using Lightroom to adjust the photos, and dropping them in Photoshop to add graphics/text.

It's a work in progress, but I was so thrilled (and a little nervous) when Brandi asked me to take her baby bump pictures! I gave her a stern warning that most of my photography to date has been of fixed objects (i.e, buildings, landscape, food, ect). Adding a moving subject to the mix creates some challenges, especially indoors in the dead of winter! Everyone knows a photographer's best friend is natural light!

I think for my first go at this, they turned out really cute! (I mean I took like 300 photos and ended up with 11, but whatever.) It helps that the pregnant mamma in the pictures is easy on the eyes! Can you believe she's due in three days???
