It's Time For a Change...
It hit 40 degrees over the weekend in Chicago. For some that meant T-shirts and bare legs. It's so fascinating to me how our perspective of "warm weather" shifts throughout the year - especially living in the Midwest. We've dealt with frigid temperatures for so long, it's exciting to see the transition into a new season.
The snow is melting, we changed our clocks on Sunday, Spring is just a couple of weeks away, and of course Easter is right around the corner! A lot is changing these days, so I thought it would be appropriate to change my iPhone background as well.

For the lock screen, I took a picture of one of my coffee mugs with a poppy on it and paired it with a verse that reminds me that new things are constantly around the corner.
Religious or not, I hope everyone can appreciate this quote by Donald Miller taken from his blog post "Why Refusing to Change is Killing You". I feel that this helps elaborate on the theme of this post.
Every healthy thing God created changes... If something doesn’t change it’s dead. God designed the world so that it is in constant motion, never sitting still, always dying and being reborn... He created you to sleep, so every night you lie down and go into an odd kind of coma for about 8 hours and then you wake up and start another day... The whole earth is starting over every morning... And it’s not only days that start over, it’s the seasons, too. Soon it will be spring, again, for the millionth time. But it will be all new to us. And then summer and then winter, always changing, always starting over, always inviting us to do the same.
