Two Years
Two years ago Shay and I got married. We still talk about how it was the greatest day of our lives. I know everyone says that, and it seems like an over-exaggerated way to describe a single day, but it's the truth. I think of our wedding as the one day that Shay and I had all of our loved ones under the same roof. That will never happen again. It's something we will always cherish.
While two years is actually a very small amount of time in comparison to the rest of our lives, it amazes me just how much has changed and how we've grown. Reflecting on these last two years makes me excited and happy about all of the wonderful years ahead of us.
Below is a quote by A.S. Byatt that we printed in our wedding programs. I still read it from time to time, and it always warms my heart.
This is where I have always been coming to. Since my time began. And when I go away from here, this will be the mid-point, to which everything ran, before, and from which everything will run. But now, my love, we are here, we are now, and those other times are running elsewhere.
