Our Next Overseas Adventure

When I saw this shirt on sale at Old Navy, I knew I had to have it (thanks for the gift card Brandi)! Not only have Shay and I visited the top three cities listed, but those are the last three international trips we've been on together... IN. THAT. ORDER. Weird, right? So as you've now figured out, Rome is next! We leave the day after Shay's 30th birthday, in exactly one week!

We're starting in Rome, then heading down to the Amalfi Coast, and lastly hopping over to the Island of Capri. It's been years since we had a relaxing overseas adventure. Most of the time we're doing 4 day tours in major cities, and coming home exhausted. Cultured, but very, very exhausted. THIS time we're doing a major city for the first few days and then chilling beachside the rest of the trip. I'm so excited to unplug, destress, and take in the sites of a country I've never been to. Oh, and of course eat lots of pizza and pasta.

This is the first time Shay and I are going overseas together where the trip isn't tied to his work. This is both exciting... and expensive. On one hand, we can do whatever we want, whenever we want. On the other hand, this is all coming out of our bank account. Yikes!

Since Shay and I have done our very best to make this a budget friendly trip, I've decided I'm going to post about all of our expenses when we get back. How much we spent on airfare, lodging, train tickets, site-seeing, entertainment, food, etc. I'll be sharing where we saved, where we splurged, and where we messed up during the planning process. So check back in a few weeks for that!

In the meantime, here's a roundup of blog posts for Berlin, Paris, and London.

Ciao!
