DIY: Sock Bun

I may be a little late in the game with this trend, but that's just because I was convinced I could create a flawless bun without having to put a sock in my hair. I was wrong. No matter how hard I try to make a bun using hair ties & bobby pins or spin pins (that just don't work well with my thick, heavy hair), I end up frustrated in front of the mirror with a less than perfect bun.

This morning I broke down and stole a lonely white sock out of my husbands drawer (are you reading this, Shay?), I cut the toe off, and followed this simple/adorable video on how to make a sock bun.

The Results:

Now I'm off to the movies to see my man Edward in his final Twilight film while my husband stays home brewing a coffee porter (that's a blog for a different day).
