Tanner's Orchard
Two weeks ago Kelly, Gatsby and I drove to Peoria, Illinois to visit Jess, Luke and Tucker. We had a blast playing catch up and playing with the pups (see the bottom of this post for a pup pic). Believe it or not, I had never gone apple picking before, so Jess made that a priority for our visit. On Saturday we drove to Tanner's Orchard in Speer, Illinois. We were at the tail end of apple picking season, but we were still able to bring some home along with various other apple goodies.
I got a little out of control at Tanner's Market... I bought apple cider, apple pie, apple barbecue sauce, apple cinnamon pancake mix, apple fritters... are you seeing the pattern here?
Anyway, we had a great time, froze our butts off a little, and then went back to the Sheley house to warm up with spiked apple cider.
